A utilitarian attitude to the subject matter of what one is filming sometimes interferes with how that item is viewed as a work of art. These abstract compositions, captured by the camera lens, were supposed to be just a straightforward documentation necessary for making a report about a medieval icon’s restoration process. However, just like in the structure of an old painting, a new post-modern visual system was discovered in some strange and mysterious way. This transformed the subject matter into a self-sustained and priceless image.
